“Our Spendiaryan”: a series of events dedicated to the 145-th anniversary of the composer's birth

With the support of the Ministry of Culture the Alexander Spendiaryan House-Museum together with the National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet after A.
Spendiaryan held a series of events dedicated to the 145th anniversary of the birth of the founder of Armenian classical symphonic music, composer Alexander Spendiaryan. The events started on the day of birth of Alexander Spendiaryan on November 1, 2016 with a visit to the grave of the composer (the park adjacent to the National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet after A. Spendiaryan).
A temporary exhibition “Our Spendiaryan” representing different stages of life and creative activity of the composer opened in the foyer of the National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet after A. Spendiaryan. Immediately after the opening of the exhibition was given a concert which included works by the composer. During the concert were performed some romances, symphonic works ( "Your black eyes fascinated me’’, “Oriental lullaby”, “O, rose”, “O, rose of my youth”, “The same night”, “The slow downing night”, “Enzeli”, '' Ghaytarma”) as well as choir song and aria from opera" Almast".
The exhibition “Our Spendiaryan” will run in the same place until November 20.
