The first musical memorial museum of Armenia- Alexander Spendiaryan House Museum is celebrating the 50th anniversary of its inauguration ceremony. On November 1, which is the composer’s birthday, the museum announced the beginning of the month of events dedicated to the anniversary.
According to the tradition the people who like and appreciate the composer’s creative heritage, and also the workers and pupils of the three institutions named after Alexander Spendiaryan- the House Museum, the National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet and the Special Music School, visited his gravesite and paid their respects.
Young Spendiarianians- the 21st generation of the first-graders of the music school named after Alexander Spendiaryan took the oath to be faithful to the high standards defined by the composer. The choir of the National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet performed a piece of the opera ‘Almast’.
Afterwards, at the composer’s House Museum the event went on with the presentation of two virtual-interactive games- ‘Discover Spendiaryan’ and ‘I am a Scene-Painter’. The pupils of the ‘TV Ideal’ special school-studio of journalists and announcers were the first ones who got acquainted with the rules of the games, which include pastime and knowledge, facts and aesthetics, modern opportunities of information technologies and team work. They presented the rules to the teachers of the schools which cooperate with the House Museum. The games are designed and created by the House Museum and the company ‘Interactive World’.
For the purpose of attaching great importance to the activities, which inspire respect with their duration and significance, the House Museum has dedicated all the events of the current year to the 50th anniversary of its inauguration.
