Dedication to the 148th birth anniversary of Alexander Spendiaryan
The birthday of the great musician was celebrated with 2 events. The 1st class pupils of the Spendiaryan Music School made “Spendiaryanian pledge” at 14:00 p. m. on October 31st, at the composer’s house-museum. Two best pianist pupils of the Music School – Alvina Gasparyan and Elina Babayan had an opportunity to play the piano of composer, and the best violinist Mane Hovhannisyan – his violin. The director of the house-museum Marine Otaryan gave them certificates.
Many musicians and music lovers placed flowers on the grave of composer in the yard of the National opera theatre named after Spendiaryan at 12 p. m. on November 1st. The qanon players of the Spendiaryan Music School (teacher: professor Tsovinar Hovhannisyan) performed “Hijas” from “Yerean Etudes” of composer. Yerevan Basic School N 99 music teacher Agapi Gasparyan directed her pupils’ performance of Spendiaryan’s romance “Hey, rose”. Besides, with the initiation of Spendiaryan House-museum a flash mob was launched for journalists. The young journalists of the studio “Radio journalist” from the Avan Cultural Centre asked questions to passengers about Spendiaryan with the help of their head Sona Najaryan near the opera theatre building. The best report made on the base of those questions will be given a prize of the house-museum.
