A concert dedicated to the Jubilees of the great Armenian composers - 150th birth anniversary of Alexander Spendiaryan and 100th birth anniversary Arno Babajanyan took place on November 6, 2021, 19:00 at Antonio-Vivaldi-Saal, Johannesgasse 8, 1010 Wien, Österreich, under the auspices of Armenisch-Apostolische Kirchengemeinde Österreich & Armenian Embassy in Austria.
The organizers of the concert were art director of the London Klingen Chamber Orchestra - conductor Sipan Olah and Austria residing violist and musicologist Gayane Mirzoyan. The purpose of those events was the promotion of the creative heritage of the great Armenian composers in Austria after London concert. The participants of the concert were conductor, pianist, tenor Sipan Olah (UK), soprano Hayarpi Yeghikyan (UK), Austria residing soprano Tehmine Schaeffer, mezzo-soprano Tereza Beglaryan, bass Nicolas Legoux, pianist Greta Erharter-Sargsyan, string quartet - Felix Harutyunyan, Astghik Siradeghyan (violin), Gayane Mirzoyan (viola) and Konstantin Zelenin (cello), and the vocal ensemble as well.
The welcome speech of the concert was given by Armen Papikyan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Austria. During the event was presented the welcome address of the director of the Spendiaryan House-museum, the Honorary Worker of the Culture of RA Marine Otaryan. Among the attendees were clergymen of the Armenian Apostolic Church and Mechitarist Order, many guests and Austrian music lovers as well.
A lecture about A. Spendiaryan and A. Babajanyan was held on November 5, 2021 at the hall of Armenisch-Apostolische Church Community in Austria. The speakers were Maestro Sipan Olah (UK) and musicologist Gayane Mirzoyan (Austria). During the lecture the compositions of Spendiaryan and Babajanyan were performed by tenor Sipan Olah, soprano Tehmine Schaeffer and pianist Greta Erharter-Sargsyan. The video recordings of the performances of Spendiaryan's orchestral compostions by London Klingen Chamber Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Sipan Olah were represented on the event as well.
