Jubilee events dedicated to the 150th birth anniversary of Alexander Spendiaryan in Tbilisi
Jubilee events dedicated to the 150th birth anniversary of the famous Armenian composer and multiple public figure Alexander Spendiaryan took place from October 23 to 24, 2021 in Tbilisi. Let us recall that this Jubilee was included in the list of international days celebration of UNESCO with the application of three countries, and Georgia was one of them.
The details of the fatal meeting of the composer and the poet Hovhannes Tumanyan just 105 years ago, and Spendiaryan's creative relations and friendship with Georgian cultural figures as well were represented in the lecture entitled "Second creative life: Tiflis".
The two-day program was realized in cooperation of the A. Spendiaryan House-museum in Yerevan and H. Toumanian Museum in Yerevan, Tbilisi “Hayartun” Education, Culture and Youth Center and “H. Tumanyan House” Scientific, Cultural Center, with the blessing and support of the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia Rev. Father Archimandrite Kirakos Davtyan and sponsored by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Georgia Ruben Sadoyan.
The members of the delegation leaded by the director of the Yerevan A. Spendiaryan House-museum Marine Otaryan took part in events.
The events launched on October 23, 2021 in the Tbilisi “Hayartun” Center. In the frame of the diverse program an exhibition opened to the public, that reflected the essential episodes of the life and activity of Spendiaryan and his relations with the Tiflis atmosphere as well.
Yerevan Spendiaryan House-museum director Marine Otaryan represented a lecture with exclusive facts about the composer's biography.
Tinati Barkaliaya, the lecturer of the faculty of piano of the Tbilisi Vano Sarajishvili State Conservatory spoke about the Spendiaryan's visit to Tbilisi.
The director of the H. Toumanian Museum in Yerevan Ani Yeghiazaryan told about the friendship of Tumanyan and Spendiaryan and the incomparable result of it.
The Jubilee events continued on October 24, 2021 in the "H. Tumanyan House" center.
The ambassador Ruben Sadoyan were gifted "A. Spendiaryan 150" commemorative coin by the Yerevan House-museum of the composer.
The day was symbolized in the Tbilisi apartment of H. Tumanyan, in the working cabinet of All-Armenian poet. A partnership memorandum was signed between 4 institutions - Yerevan A. Spendiayan House-museum, on behalf of Marine Otaryan, H. Toumanian Museum in Yerevan, on behalf of Ani Yeghiazaryan, "H. Tumanyan" center, on behalf of Gisane Hovsepyan, "Hayartun" center, on behalf of Yevgenia Markosyan. M. Otaryan and A. Yeghiazaryan winded the clock of the great writer as a symbolic action.
The great composer's music was performed during the both events. The concert part of the events was provided by the Arthur Papikyan, the student of the "Hayartun" center Duduk class, accompanied by the center's student Andre Akobyan and the teacher of Dhol class Sergey Malkhasyan; "Hayartun" center "St. Nerses Shnorhali" youth choir, chorus master - Maria Abulyan; vocal soloist Aida Bazoyan; pianist Yesayi Abovyan; the vocal soloits of the Armenian National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet named after A. Spendiaryan - Diana Harutyunyan and Andranik Malkhasyan; pianist Margarit Sargsyan; the soloist of the Tbilisi Vano Sarajishvili State Conservatory Svetlana Tatoyeva and the student of the violin class of the professor Ernst Arakelov - Davit Akopov.
