The presentation of Gerogy Budaghyan’s book “Observations of the orchestration of the opera “Almast” by A. A. Spendiarov” took place on July 29, 2021 at the Alexander Spendiaryan House-museum events’ hall.
The great conductor and Spendiaryanian scholar created this book based on his experience of directing and observing the opera “Almast” for decades. The book is dedicated to the 150th birth anniversary of composer. It was published by the initiative of Spendiaryan House-museum (“Edit Print” Publishing House), chief-editor: the professor of Yerevan State Conservatory Alina Pahlevanyan, professional editor: Vahagn Vardanyan. The book is written and published in Russian. It is a valuable guide for the conductors, composers, musicologists, music pedagogues and for the researchers of Spendiaryan’s music generally in Armenia and in abroad as well. The director of the house-museum Marine Otaryan welcomed the attendees and emphasized the importance of this publication. A. Pahlevanyan poured wine on the book as a symbolic tradition. During the event the Ensemble of qanon players of Spendiaryan Music School and V. Vardanyan performed several compositions of composer.
