In the park adjacent Opera and Ballet theatre near the grave of the composer held a ceremony to pay tribute to the Alexander Spendiaryan's memory and lay flowers on the grave.
The Director of the museum Marine Otaryan had an appreciative speech of the Spendiaryan's creative path. Aram Satyan, President of the Union of Composers of Armenia, Karen Durgaryan, Director of the Spendiaryan National Academic Theater, Armen Budaghyan and Davit Ghazaryan, professors of the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory, soloists Narine Ananikyan (mezzo-soprano) and Ofelia Hambardzumyan (soprano) from the National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet performed with Spendiaryan's songs "Lullaby" and"Your black eyes seduced me".
The pupils of the Yerevan No.154 school and the No. 155 school named after Mirijanyan took part in the event.
